Summary: These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the BibleWise mobile application, website, and related services (the "App"). By using BibleWise, you agree to these Terms.
Educational and devotional purposes. BibleWise is a study companion for personal Bible reading and reflection. AI-generated explanations are interpretive and may not reflect any specific denomination's teaching. The App is not a substitute for pastoral guidance, theological instruction, mental health counseling, medical advice, legal advice, or any other professional service.
1. Purpose of BibleWise
BibleWise is a Bible study companion designed to provide a guided 90-day reading plan, on-demand verses for life situations, AI-assisted explanations of scripture, and tools for personal reflection.
BibleWise is for personal study, devotion, and reflection only.
2. Not Theological Authority or Professional Advice
BibleWise does not represent any specific denomination, tradition, or church body. AI-generated explanations are interpretive and may differ from the teaching of your tradition.
BibleWise does not provide medical, mental health, legal, financial, or pastoral counseling. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, inconsistent, or incomplete. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on App content.
If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical, mental health, legal, or financial emergency, please contact a qualified professional or emergency service in your region.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use BibleWise. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. AI-Powered Features
Some features rely on third-party AI services (specifically OpenAI). When you use these features, the questions, topics, profile information, and reading context you provide may be transmitted to OpenAI to generate your response. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
You acknowledge that AI-generated content is produced automatically and may not be accurate. Do not rely on AI responses for any consequential decision.
5. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for misuse.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
BibleWise may offer paid subscription tiers that unlock additional features or remove usage limits.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your app store account settings.
- Pricing is displayed in-app and may change over time.
- Refunds are handled according to the policies of the platform where you purchased the subscription (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play).
- Features and limits may vary by plan.
If you purchase an auto-renewable subscription through the Apple App Store, payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.
7. Rate Limiting & Fair Use
To protect system performance and ensure fair use, AI interactions and on-demand features may be subject to rate limits.
Limits may differ by subscription level, and excessive usage may result in temporary restrictions.
We reserve the right to adjust limits at any time.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Abuse, disrupt, or attempt to reverse-engineer the App
- Use BibleWise for unlawful purposes
- Submit harmful, illegal, harassing, or hateful content
- Attempt to bypass usage limits or access restricted features
- Use the AI to generate content that misrepresents BibleWise, harasses others, or violates the rights of others
Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.
9. Intellectual Property
All app design, features, and branding are owned by BibleWise, PetRhino LLC, or their licensors.
Bible text is presented under licenses appropriate to each translation. Public-domain translations (such as the King James Version and the World English Bible) are used freely. Other translations are used under license from their respective copyright holders.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or resell any proprietary part of the App without permission.
10. Availability & Changes
We may modify, discontinue, add, or remove features; change content offerings; and adjust pricing or limits.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the App.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties regarding the accuracy of AI-generated explanations or any outcomes related to your use of the App.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BibleWise and PetRhino LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost income, or decisions made based on App content arising from your use of the App.
13. Termination
You may stop using BibleWise at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated, abuse or fraud is detected, or as required by law.
